Time Capsule Project
Assignments in this project will be kept in a capsule (envelope) until you graduate. You will have class time to work on these assignments, but some may require the help of your family members.
1. Decorate your envelope. This should reflect your personality, interests, your friends, ect. Be CREATIVE!
2. Write an autobiography. Begin with the day you were born until the current day.
3. Family tree
4. Likes and dislikes. Make a two column list. List 10 things you like on one side and 10 things you dislike on the other. #1 should be what you like/dislike the most/least. Write two short paragraphs explaining your number one choices on both lists.
5. Describe a typical day. Make a timetable. Keep a detailed diary of an entire day.
6. Draw one of your friends. Identify the person and on a separate sheet of paper write a descriptive paragraph about him/her.
7. Make an inventory list of the top drawer of your desk or drawer at home.
8. Make a menu listing of everything you eat on a certain day. Be sure to date this paper. Plan your favorite meal of all time.
9. What's up in 2011? Pick five newsworthy stories that have occured this school year and describe them briefly.
10. Find a picture of someone you really admire at the present time. At the top of the page center, MY HERO, and write a paragraph explaining why you chose this person as your hero, describing what you admire about him/her.
11. Write a letter to yourself in which you give yourself advice that you think will be truly helpful in the future.
12. Write a letter to your current best friend. What memories would you want to share with this person in 2018?
13. What do you want to be when you grow up? Write one or two paragraphs describing your future plans after high school.
