Keyboarding is graded on 3 major competencies: technique, accuracy, and speed
Your technique grade consists of the following:
1. Eyes on Copy
2. Proper wrist position
3. Proper position of feet
4. Correct distance from the machine
5. Proper posture – straight back
6. Proper reach for new keys
You will also be responsible for memorizing all keys. A location quiz will be given at the end of the semester.
You must be able to key a minimum of 10 words per minute to receive a passing grade for speed.
